About Library

Library and Resource Centre of R.G.Sapkal Institute Of Pharmacy was established in 2015. Library is situated in a separate two storied block of 154.23 sq. mt. surrounded by lush green area. It has an ample stock of 1743 Books. 10 National and international journals and periodicals are subscribed currently which facilitates research in our institute. It is most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, and promotes innovation. It maintains separate department of Welfare SC/ST/OBC student’s book-bank scheme books, periodical section, bound volumes of journals & e-books collections, compact discs and educational Videos. We have subscription to multiple copies of National, regional and local news-papers and magazines. We have an attractive reading room, where readers find conductive environment for reading.
Goal & Objectives
The primary goal of RGSIOP library is to provide “right information to right user at right time”and to provide access of information available in all formats to support the teaching, learning, research & personal growth of its clientele.
The Objective of RGSIOP library is to:✔ Provide significant books or other printed material or E-resources as per academic curriculum.
✔ Classify library material in simpler form for the excess use by the users
✔ Enhance information literacy especially in student community
✔ Ensure that resources made available are currently appropriate & accessible 24/7

✔ The vision of ‘RGSIOP’ library is to develop, organize, provide access to and preserve materials to meet the needs of present and future generation of students.
Mision of Library
✔ The mission of the Library and resource center is to facilitate creation of new knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing for value added services.The main object of library & resource center is to support the educational & research programmers of the Institute by providing physical & intellectual access to information, consistent with the present & the anticipated educational & research functions of the institute.

Photocopying Services:✔ The Library Provides Xeroxing facility to the faculty & students of the Institutes
Audio-Visual Services:✔ The Video Viewing facility is available in ground floor section. The facility can be availed working days
Book-Bank Facilities for SC/ST Students:✔ Selected books are made available for issue for period of one semester to the students belonging to SC/ST. Eligible students may apply for the books form the special collection as per the schedule announced by library
Collection of general reading books:✔ Library has good collection of general reading books on Marathi or English Languages
News Items displays:✔ Library also displays faculty publications; forth coming conference and other Indian & International events and list of articles of general interest on science & technology photocopy form the current issues of journals received.
Library Timing
- Monday to Saturday: 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
- Sunday & Holidays: Remain close for the day.
- Night Library Reading Room Facility: 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
